About Angler Graphics

We began production of maps of Central Kentucky lakes for fishermen in 1980. There was a definite need for clear, concise, detailed mapping of the fishing waters in and around Central Kentucky. Out of that need came Angler Graphics. Our maps have been the subject of several feature length articles written by noted outdoorsman Art Lander, and published in the Lexington Herald-Leader's Outdoors page. Angler Graphics products have also received mention as excellent information sources in several other publications, and you can find several of these on the Scrapbook page.

Angler Graphics Maps are topographic and contour maps based on mapping that was available before these man-made lakes were built. They include information on what is on the bottom of the lake, including houses, wooded areas, channels, stumps, or other structures and submerged features that might be of interest to anglers. Every effort is made to clearly show all of these features on our maps, so that anglers are well informed as to what lies under the waters surface. Angler Graphics founder and president Clint Land, by profession a civil engineering designer-draftsman (and a dedicated bass fisherman) saw a need for clear, concise, detailed mapping of fishing waters within a short drive of his Lexington, Kentucky home and set about creating the maps, drawing them by hand. Both large and small impoundments were mapped, with special emphasis on the small state built fishing lakes. Individual maps have been distributed to anglers by the thousands over twenty years through marinas and tackle stores in the area.

With the turn of the century, so too came a change for Angler Graphics. In late 2000, we adapted to the technology available, and began using the internet to get our maps to fishermen, in addition to delivering them through local dealers. Also around that time, we began to upgrade the technology used in creating our products, moving from the "old fashioned" hand drawn on mylar maps to Computer Aided Drafting (CAD). This allowed us to speed up production time, but maintain the attention to detail that fishermen have come to expect from us. Also, we've been able to convert some of our maps to a more user friendly format, as well as adding a lamination process to make your map nearly indestructible.

Angler Graphics products are clear, detailed, easily read assemblages of all available information about any given lake. They were and will continue to be created for knowledgable anglers needing a tool to be used in conjunction with all other variables to arrive at informed conclusions about the most productive areas on any given day. Potential dealers (marinas, bait and tackle shops, etc.) are invited to contact Angler Graphics for wholesale quantities of individual maps and books for resale.

Since 1980, Angler Graphics has been providing mapping of Central Kentucky facilities specifically created for sport and tournament professional fishing. Our maps are topographic and contour maps based on mapping that was available before these man-made lakes were built. They include information on what is on the bottom of the lake, including houses, wooded areas, channels, stumps, or other structures and submerged features that might be of interest to anglers. Every effort is made to clearly show all of these features on our maps, so that anglers are well informed as to what lies under the waters surface.
