THE WHAT? Revlon has broken the internet with a TikTok post that’s racked up some 4.6 million views. The US make-up brand created the viral video in response to a piece uploaded by Selling Sunset star, Heather Rae El Moussa.
THE DETAILS El Moussa’s post showed the reality TV star discovering a Revlon lip liner in her husband’s van and throwing it away, claiming ‘Revlon? I don’t wear Revlon’. Her husband then responds to camera, ‘She found ski pants three years ago and I’m still in trouble’. In the caption, El Moussa admits that the lip liner belongs to her sister-in-law.
Revlon’s post showed an employee catching an identical lip liner, saying ‘Thanks, girl. I’ve been looking for that. And I want my ski pants back’.
THE WHY? It’s every brand’s dream to go viral for all the right reasons and Revlon is presumably delighted. Here’s hoping the employee behind this social media mastery has been suitably rewarded.
