THE WHAT? Biomel, a company specialising in plant-based gut health products, has received a £5.5 million investment from Iris Ventures, a venture capital firm.

THE DETAILS  The company has consistently grown since its 2017 launch, achieving over 80% annual organic growth and reaching operational profitability in 2020. The investment will be used primarily to enhance the production capacity at Biomel’s London facility to meet increasing consumer demand.
