Puig Expands Headquarters, Eyes Sustainability

THE WHAT?  Puig has enlarged its Barcelona headquarters with a second tower, doubling its workspace. This expansion reflects the company’s growth, with Marc Puig noting the move as a step in consolidating their presence in their founding city. The transition for employees into this new building will be gradual, extending to the end of the year.

THE DETAILS The new tower, designed by GCA Architects, offers a modern workspace with 20 floors next to Puig’s original building. Set to open officially in the first quarter of 2024, it will host 485 employees and include sustainable design elements like renewable energy systems. The interior is designed for versatility, accommodating a variety of working styles and technological needs.

THE WHY? The building integrates sustainable features such as energy production systems to reduce its carbon footprint and has been awarded a LEED Gold certification for its eco-friendly design. Puig, still family-owned, is considering various strategic options for its future, including a public offering, against a backdrop of significant sales in the previous year.
