THE WHAT?   Unilever has selected Fernando Fernandez as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with his role commencing on January 1, 2024. Fernando is transitioning from his current position as President of Unilever’s Beauty & Wellbeing Business Group, stepping into the vacancy left by Graeme Pitkethly, who decided to retire earlier this year. Fernando’s new position also includes a spot on Unilever’s Board.

THE WHY?  CEO Hein Schumacher expressed his confidence in Fernando’s capabilities to contribute positively to Unilever’s growth, emphasising his vast experience within the company.
