THE WHAT? Beauty and wellness appointment booking app Booksy is set to expand its presence in the EMEA region via the acquisition of French salon management and booking software, Kiute.
THE DETAILS With a partner network of nearly 10,000 beauty and wellness salons, the buy-out evolves Booksy’s position as a leading beauty and wellness booking and business management software provider.
Booksy has also announced the appointment of Scot Gensler as its Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships and Corporate Development.
According to a press release, the hiring of Gensler will “strengthen Booksy’s capabilities in corporate strategy, market intelligence, go-to-market planning and the execution of partnerships and mergers and acquisitions.”
THE WHY? The Kiute buy-out marks Booksy’s fifth M&A, with the company stating it is actively considering additional M&A and partnership opportunities, ‘all with an eye towards further solidifying its position as the global market leader.’
