THE WHAT? Chanel has named Whitney Peak as the latest face of its Coco Mademoiselle fragrance. Peak is the first Black woman to front a campaign for a Chanel fragrance, according to a report published by British Vogue.

THE DETAILS The campaign features Peak in a bedroom setting cosying up to the Coco Mademoiselle bottle, wearing a pair of Chanel cuffs and chain only.

THE WHY? The brand told British Vogue in a statement, “Peak’s joy, spirit, and energy are contagious. She is the embodiment of today’s youth whose curiosity, confidence in life, appetite for experiences and lack of preconceptions echo the temperament of the young Coco Chanel.“
