Sephora Canada has issued a recall of 35 different Sephora Collection false eyelash products due to safety concerns regarding eyelash glue.
The products have been recalled as the glue contains methyl methacrylate, a substance that is prohibited in in Canada due to safety concerns over its strong adhesion properties and potential to cause allergic reactions and skin irritation.
Sephora Canada has received one consumer complaint over strong adhesion related to the use of the glue, which is believed to have triggered the recall.
Approximately 107,000 Sephora Collection eyelash products containing methyl methacrylate have been sold in Canada between 2010 to 2015.
Sephora has stated that customers should immediately stop using the recalled cosmetics. The company has advised customers to return products to Sephora stores to receive a store credit.
