Croda breaks ground on manufacturing plant in Dahej

THE WHAT? Croda has broken ground on a manufacturing plant in Dahej, India, according to a report published by Chemical Industry Digest. The UK-based ingredients manufacturer has invested Rs500 crore in this first phase.

THE DETAILS The new facility will meet the rising demand  for Croda’s consumer care products in the region as well as provide advanced and sustainable solutions to its customers and further increasing its manufacturing presence to meet fast-growing demand in Asia.

THE WHY? The Dahej site will not only expand manufacturing capacity in India but also support Croda’s sustainability goals as a zero carbon and zero discharge facility.

Murali Duvvuri, Managing Director, Croda India, told Chemical Industry Digest, “The group has been present in India for more than two decades and operates a world-class manufacturing and innovation centre in Navi Mumbai and alongside offices in Ahmedabad. This investment at Dahej is a demonstration of our commitment to the Indian market and a recognition of its immense potential for growth.”
