THE DETAILS The facility in Hokkaido, Japan will establish a natural fermentation production system and develop various microbiome ingredients.

THE WHY? LG Household & Health Care told Yonhap News Agency that Hokkaido was the perfect location for conducting research on microbiomes. The K-beauty behemoth noted that microbiome-based beauty products are increasingly popular globally and, presumably, it’s keen to profit from this popularity.
