THE DETAILS Some businesses have now been permitted to restart operations and resume production; AmorePacific’s shares rose just over a percentage point in value following the news.

THE WHY? The Chinese government is said to have green-lighted those businesses producing daily necessities to minimise fallout. The K-beauty behemoth’s Shanghai factory produces almost 40 percent of AmorePacific products sold on the Chinese market, Pulse News said.
