L’Oréal China VP Lan Zhenzhen to be honored with 2020 Individual Achievement SABRE

THE WHAT? L’Oréal China’s Vice President Lan Zhenzhen is set to receive the Individual Achievement SABRE Award, and is being honored for her 28-year career with the beauty giant.

THE DETAILS Zhenzhen will receive the accolade on 24th September at the virtual Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards.

Describing Zhenzhen as a pioneer for L’Oréal and public relations, Ruder Finn Asia-Pacific CEO Elan Shou said, “She’s the first real modern PR professional known in China. Before Lan, PR was only seen onscreens or considered as ‘guanxi’ in the old fashion. She’s still one of the best-known PR professionals well respected in China, also a role model as a successful career woman who balances job and family well.”

THE WHY? L’Oréal’s first employee to have been hired in mainland China, Zhenzhen is said to have been vital for the China arm’s growth.

Shou continued, “The best words to describe Zhenzhen always include courage, curiosity, and beauty. She has set up a standard that many PR professionals continue to pursue today — to keep thinking and advancing with the times. The best is yet to come.”
