THE WHAT? SEPHORA and Rare Beauty are launching the “Make a Rare Impact” campaign in line with World Mental Health Day on October 10. On this day, SEPHORA will direct all Rare Beauty product sales to the Rare Impact Fund, an initiative set up by Rare Beauty’s founder, Selena Gomez, in 2020. The fund aims to combat mental health stigma and provide resources for young people globally.
THE DETAILS This effort will be rolled out in the twenty-eight markets where SEPHORA operates. Leading up to World Mental Health Day, SEPHORA and Rare Beauty will produce content to promote open discussions about mental health within their global beauty community.
THE WHY? Selena Gomez initiated the Rare Impact Fund to enhance mental health services and education for young people, something she felt was lacking in her youth. She notes the pressing nature of the mental health crisis for young individuals and acknowledges SEPHORA’s commitment to the cause. On World Mental Health Day, the collaboration seeks to raise funds for the Rare Impact Fund through Rare Beauty’s sales at SEPHORA.
