Unilever Ventures leads seed round for What’s Up Wellness

THE WHAT? What’s Up Wellness has closed a Rs14.4 crore seed round led by Unilever Ventures. While the investment was FMCG manufacturer’s first in the Indian wellness start-up, several existing investors also participated in the round.

THE DETAILS Angel investors include Sirona Hygiene and Clovia. The edible gummies brand is gunning to become a Rs100 crore brand in the next two years, extending its range with 12 new products in the pipeline.

THE WHY? The funds will be piled towards developing new products and hiring new staff. Co-founders Vaibhav Makhija and Sayantani Mandal revealed, “We intend to keep scaling and fast-tracking the growth while continuing to maintain a tight grip on our bottom line and introducing more highly-relevant products.”
