Charlotte Tilbury is said to be exploring the possibility of a sale, according to a report published by WWD. The independent make-up brand is rumoured to have been in advanced talks with The Estee Lauder Companies.

However, per WWD, a deal is yet to be struck as Tilbury is holding out for a rumoured US$1.4 billion, while the US prestige beauty giant has only offered US$1 billion. Neither companies were available for comment when approached by WWD.

Tilbury’s sales are said to be in the region of US$150 million to US$200 million and the UK-based make-up brand is preparing to open its first standalone store in the US this summer.
