L’Occitane Group Restructures Leadership

THE WHAT? The L’Occitane Group has announced a restructuring of its leadership. Starting April 1, 2024, the CEO and Group Managing Director roles will be combined into a single position.

THE DETAILS André J. Hoffmann, currently the acting CEO, will relinquish this role but remain an Executive Director and a member of the Board, focusing on strategy and leadership. Laurent Marteau, a seasoned professional in the beauty industry with experience at LVMH Group and La Prairie Group, has been appointed to the new combined role. Marteau joined L’Occitane Group in 2022 and has a background in managing international markets and various brands.

THE WHY? This change aims to streamline the company’s leadership as it grows as a multi-brand group with a global presence. The appointment of Marteau, with his extensive experience, is intended to drive the group’s operational and strategic efficiency. Hoffmann’s shift in role is part of the company’s strategy to focus on expanding and integrating new brands, leveraging his longstanding experience with the group.
