THE WHAT? Dubai Duty Free has announced an all-time sales record of DHS7.885 billion for 2023, up 24.39 percent over the previous year. Compared to pre-pandemic results in 2019, sales rose 6.4 percent.

THE DETAILS Perfume was the top-selling category, accounting for 17 percent of sales, the travel retailer said. Online sales comprised 2 percent of the total. The operation recorded more than 20 million transactions throughout the year, an average of 55,000 per day.  

THE WHY?
