THE WHAT? Shiseido has cut the ribbon on a new talent development facility in Ginza. The Shiseido Future University is designed to nurture the next generation of Shiseido leaders.

THE DETAILS Chairman and CEO, Masahiko Uotani will serve as the founding Dean and the university will offer leadership programs.

THE WHY? The move is driven by the J-beauty giant’s People First philosophy, Shiseido said, which is the belief that human capital is a crucial investment given that people are the company’s most important asset and increase corporate value.
